What’s in store for August

So I went back to work today. We’re about to have a thunder storm and I’ve been away from the golf course for four days now – I wonder how August will pan out after a hectic July on course.

After a fast start to July with the Full Pickala (3 rounds in a day) and a Champagne and Strawberries event (self explanatory) I took some time away to my favorite band of all time, LINKIN PARK, in Germany.

This worked well as I needed some recovery time from the Full Pickala and at the time the weather wasn’t great.

By the 11th of July I was ready to go and went on a stretch of 21 days in a row. I didn’t walk that much thanks to the scooter so I was pretty much able to cope.

That said, I am glad of the rest now. in August I am hoping to play at least 3 days a week. I have four day weeks for the next few weeks so I’m hopeful the weather holds out a bit long.

It has been +30 degrees for almost the whole month – which has been a record. 22 days in a row. Of course, part of the country is burning now :-/

The golf itself was fun but the quality of the play for the most part was not good. Unless you think increasing your handicap index by 1,5 is good…

Anyway, how was your summer and what is your longest stretch of golf?
